OUR BALCONY IN THE SUN Every day at the end of August during preseason, and at the beginning of September before school really cracked down, we would sit out on our balcony in the late afternoon/early evening and watch the world go by. Right in the middle of the McGill Ghetto, we would often see our friends walk by and shout down to them to say hi. A great place to sit and reflect with friends.
SENIOR YEAR OF VARSITY FIELD HOCKEY It's been a really cool experience being a senior on the field hockey team this year. We had great weekends in Waterloo, Toronto, and Guelph before I got injured. I'll always remember those long bus rides, listening to music and everyone falling asleep as the sun rises and we head out of Montreal. I'll also remember morning practices on Forbes, watching the sun rise and the leaves change colour on the mountain.
APPLE PICKING On a sunny Saturday in October, a few friends and I drove out to a farm just outside the city where you can pick apples and pumpkins yourself. It was a really nice fall day!
HALLOWEEN I was a hamburger one night, and a witch another night! My favourite costume I saw: my roommate dressed up as Oprah. She gave out free things all night!
MOM'S VISIT TO MTL! My mom came to visit on Remembrance Day weekend. We ate at delicious restaurants, went shopping, explored, and watched movies. It was a really great relaxing weekend.
CLOSING NIGHT OF OAP The last night of OAP was memorable. It was a hot sunny day, and as the sun set the twinkling fairy lights went on over our heads. An awesome band from McGill was playing- The Thundermonks- and we all danced until the gates closed.
GETTING HIT IN THE HEAD WITH A FIELD HOCKEY BALL When we were playing a tournament in Guelph, head with the field hockey ball in a game against York. It's the worst injury I've had-- EMS thought I might have fractured my skull. Luckily I was rushed to Guelph General Hospital and got a CT scan-- no fracture! I was taken good care of by Emma's family in Guelph, and am on the mend. Definitely one of the scariest moments in my life!
THANKSGIVING On Thanksgiving weekend, I flew out to Toronto to visit my aunt and my cousins. We went up to Lake Rosseau in the Muskoka and stayed at a friend's cottage. Lots of food and laughs, a really great weekend!
